I am inviting you into the alchemical heart of Intentional Creativity®

What it is and how it works. How to use it to navigate the changing terrain of our lives. How to focus on specific healing intentions. And how to curate consciousness using the tool of creativity coupled with metacognition : thinking about thinking.

This page tells you everything you need to know about the class, and it may take some time to read, but will be enjoyable and informative for you to learn about Medicine Painting. Get a cup of tea, slow down and ponder it with me. And as you read, watch and muse on the material, and hold your own inquiry about what you are healing, gently but with focus.

We will learn how to alchemize difficult parts of ourselves & stories into tools of transformation - wounds into wonders!

By working with the idea of the 'canvas' as your apothecary, you will create an expressionistic intuitive medicine painting - moving ideas and energies into physical domain.

Little colorful bottles with elixirs with mysterious labels, hidden doors, ancient library books in a cosmic apothecary of your own making....curves and lines...colors and shapes...textures and collage.

Why this? Because many of us need pathways to healing that are innovative, because we have already tried so many things! And because the state of our inner world and outer world are changing so much, we need tools to help us with resiliency. Why now? Just look at what's happening right now in our world, our lives, we need to gather ourselves together and create magic through virtual spaces. And so we are rising to the occasion!

This class emerged in 2018 and has been taught online, in Australia and at my Sonoma Studio, Musea, as well as by Intentional Creativity Teachers around the world. The videos you are the refined curriculum after working with hundreds of people in their medicine painting experience.

The ideas behind this work are my deepest heart medicine combined with the perspective and gifts of my husband, Jonathan. He is part goof ball, part genius and this class was inspired by him and his experience of transforming PTSD.

I am here to serve and create, this is my ministry. I hope you will join us as we collectively paint in virtual circle around the world. Or, you can take this class at your leisure. We make sure all video content is downloadable for you to keep and have time with your own process.

No matter where we are in the world, or what we are going through - we truly are all connected. The current state of our world is bringing our awareness of our global family home - literally home. Intentional Creativity is potent, practical, and powerful for shifting energy and stories. And for reducing and catalyzing suffering, and transforming it into something truly useful. Yes, we have the power to do that! Oh YA Whoop! However, trauma often lives in image-based story. Trying to change the story and how it lives within us, without working with image, often isn't getting the results we need. This is exactly what the process opens: taking the inside thought/idea and bringing it into the form based domain to make the experience visual. We think it. We create it. We witness it and are changed by it in our brains. It is so elemental, and basic, yet by understanding how it works, giving process and language to it, changes HOW we can access it and work with it.

Our beautiful brains process how we ‘see’ and experience life. We will work directly with what we know about how the brain processes and how to shift these patterns. If you wonder why the same stories keep showing up even after years of mental processing in your life and therapy, then perhaps it is time to try a new modality. The issues live in the field of energy and movie-story-memories in your mind and your tissues. Time Commitment In total, between zoom circles and other videos, there will be approximately 12+ hours of video. The class videos are pre-recorded. You will have access to download the videos and do the process at your leisure. We suggest that you schedule more time beyond the videos to complete your painting as the videos are the 'underpainting' for your process.

Materials List Your materials list is provided after you register. You will need printer paper, pens, a needle and thread, acrylic paint (a rainbow of colors), Liquitex varnish or equivalent, and a canvas larger than 30 X 30 inches, as big as you can imagine is best.

Private iMusea App Classroom You will be invited to join a private Apothecary Classroom inside of our new iMusea App. In 2019 we founded this app with the purpose of moving our student forums away from Facebook and into a more private container. Intentional Creativity Teachers will be available in our classroom to support you with your process for 4 weeks. You can share, ask questions and connect with fellow students. Or, you can do the process in the privacy of your own space and not share. This painting process can be done with the support of a group, as a team with a partner/family member/colleague or solo.

Warning Label Engaging in this level of inquiry about the stories and wounds you hold can be intense. However, you are in a safe and protected environment to process in your own home or another space that you choose. And, you will have an opportunity to let go of some of the excess baggage you have been carrying. In the end, the entire experience will allow you to feel more free. If you are in a breakdown, this is not a good time to attend this class because we cannot provide therapy-based support. Prepare for a shift and some potentially triggering depth diving. We will be asking people to sign a waiver that they understand.

Investment in the Intensive This class is potent and worth the investment in time and resources well beyond what we are charging. We also have payment plans. You can plan to work on the painting in the following weeks - working with what was delivered in the videos. The investment is $297 with a partial scholarship as needed. If you can learn to move your own stuck energy, how valuable would that be? And at the end, having a super cool painting!

Challenging times require extraordinary measures. How can processing stuck energy and fear actually be fun and put you in the flow state and provide some relief? We will show you. You don't have to be an artist to experience the benefits of this, you just have to show up with a big brush, a bold hand and be open to self-discovery.

"I especially loved the mix of lectures and painting videos here. Sitting down with B and listening to "heady concepts" which made us think about how to choose Self Actualized vs Self by Proxy and how we can continue to do that... Living a life fully activated vs living life passively.

I know that this was "extra credit" as I worked through my Color of Woman training this year...and maybe I wasn't "suppose to" take this class as I am deep in my quest, but it enriched my experience so much. It was the PERFECT painting to do for me after Talisman, as I was able to take some of those concepts and really dive even a little deeper than I had in that painting.

My experience painting alongside B was just... it was a dream state almost. I loved standing next to him and being in the flow together... I was smiling ear to ear as he just didn't want to stop painting some days. It was just the BEST thing to be able to share Intentional Creativity® with him and for him. He had said "I can see how deep this can go"...and it helps him to see how transformative Color of Woman is for me. Also, being able to see Shiloh and see how supportive the community is - he was able to see how supported I am in my life as an artist right now. + how supportive you all are towards HIM."

I loved watching the chemistry between Shiloh and Jonathan. Having spent time with them in person helped me to connect and feel their quantum presence. This enhanced my process and ability to be with it even deeper this third time. This is my Apothecary of Resilience. My original Apothecary was working on my stories around sell worth, closure regarding past relationships, connecting with my Devine power AND issues with nurturing. This one connects me with my growth this far although still transforming....I am embracing my awareness, and the impact I want to make in the world energetically by doing this work. Apothecary is helping me shift my concept of “My Thyme” or my time. I am relaxing into a new rhythm and not fighting the flow of time. I am discovering new possibilities for restructuring what I do from home rather than outside. I’m considering signing up for Giddy-Up with Jenafer Joy as a way of continuing to teach. So claiming My Thyme has become a true balm for my body and spirit as I adjust to this new phase of life. This course is life transforming as we shift tragedy to remedy. Lots of emotions from past tragedies turned my painting dark a few times, but I had faith in the process of bringing in the darks and then adding more lights and stars, and I love where it led. Intentional Creativity has been a game-changer for me! I was blessed to create physical healing while participating in one of Shiloh Sophia’s retreats. Recently I had been diagnosed with a serious life-threatening intestinal disorder. During my painting process at the retreat, I purposely decided to ‘place’ it into a container I had painted onto my canvas. As I made each brushstroke I declared: “my illness can live in here now” I approached this with playful energy and no expectations. In order to truly believe in what I was doing, I even went off of my medication! My illness and symptoms have never returned and it’s been over a year ago!
